Croatian Black Pepper Cookies (Paprenjaci)


Unusual flavour, spicy and delicate.

Cake tin needed
Baking sheet

Ingredients
500g plain flour
200g margarine
2 tbsp honey
1 egg
3 egg yolks
150g ground walnuts
150g caster
¼ tsp ground black pepper
¼ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp cinnamon
a pinch of nutmeg


Preheat the oven to 150 ° C.
Line the baking sheet with baking parchment.
Combine all the ingredients well to make a dough.
Leave to rest in the fridge for 2 hours.
Sprinkle some flour on the work surface.
Roll out the dough quickly.
Cut out into shapes that you like.
Place on baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes.
Leave to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer on to cooling rack.
